What is Eroteracy™?

Eroteracy is the ability to read your own erotic imagination as information. Not just what turns you on... but what your body is reaching for, why certain things land the way they do, and what to do with it once you notice.

Right now, your body reacts to things in your imagination and you shrug it off. "I just like what I like." And you do. But that's like saying you just happen to be hungry without asking what your body needs. Your cravings aren't random preferences. They're precise. The characters you fall for, the tropes that hit you in the chest, the moments that make your breath catch... they're clues. And once you learn to read them, everything changes.

This course teaches you how to read it. On purpose. So the loops close, the feeling stays, and the version of you who comes alive in your imagination stops disappearing when the story ends.

And just to be clear... this isn't about turning the thing you love into homework. Read for pleasure. Listen for fun. Enjoy it. Always. But when you notice you're looping... reaching for the next hit before the last one's landed... that's when this work meets you. Pleasure first. Always.

Why the feeling fades

When something lands in your imagination, your nervous system responds as if it's real. It releases the same neurochemicals... dopamine, oxytocin, cortisol... that it would in an actual experience. Your body lights up. You feel alive, held, wanted, powerful.

Then the story ends. The audio stops. The chat closes. And your nervous system gets whiplash. It was in the middle of something real, and it got yanked out without a landing. That's the crash. That's the book hangover. That's why you feel empty, restless, or numb afterwards and immediately reach for the next one.

You know the feeling. You can't stop thinking about the characters. You rewrite the ending in your head. You tweak scenes because something didn't land right. You're still half-living in that world days later. You binge a whole series and then can't read anything for weeks.

In Fantasy as Medicine™, we call this an open loop... your body started something it never got to finish. And open loops keep your nervous system in a state of reaching. It got a taste of something it needed... safety, desire, being chosen... but it never got to store it. So it stays hungry. And you stay in the cycle of consume, crash, reach, repeat.

Closed loops are different. When you learn to notice what landed, stay with it, and let your body complete the process... the feeling doesn't vanish. It integrates. It becomes yours. And you stop needing the next hit because the last one actually did its job.

Escapist fantasy leaves you hungry. Integrated fantasy leaves you grounded. Eroteracy™ teaches you the difference.

How it works

Not for you if...

  • You're looking for kink coaching or sex tips
